Engagement ring dilemma

Help!!

Hey everyone! I see some people posting about weddings and engagements so I figured I'd reach out too! I have been married for a couple months, and engaged 2 years before that. I have beautiful rose gold custom made rings, but they turn my finger black when I wear them and make my finger hurt and sometimes itchy!! The black marks wash right off... am I allergic?? The rings have been appraised so I know I'm not seeing fake jewelry (thank goodness!) has anyone had a similar problem?
