What’s normal after a cervix check?

I know spotting is normal after a cervix check, but mine has always been brown.  After my check today I had pink and red mixed with some clear mucus.  Is this because of the exam or is it my bloody show?  I’m 40 weeks 4 days, and 4 cm dilated.  My other kids were born early so I never made it to the cervix exam part of pregnancy with them.

Sounds like bloody show to me. This sounds similar to what I had the morning I gave birth. I was dilated to a 2.5 the day before and had a cervix check. Good luck!

Mine is always red straight after and mixed with mucus then as the day goes on I get more brown blood. Totally normal.

My first check left me with RED, but every check after has been brown mucus. I would say it's normal.
