Early mucus plug?

Question

I checked my cervix tonight. It’s high and soft but the opening has what looks like a mucus plug. The other pic is from the evening before I ovulated. They look similar except for the mucus. Hoping it means I’m pregnant.

I am 12dpo, AF expected Thursday. BFN this morning.

Thoughts? Anyone know info about the cervix and mucus plug at 4 weeks?

pretty sure your cervic closes after you ovulate anyway. so it could just be more closed then during your ovulation period, with discharge coming out. i checked mine(not with pics, just with fingers) after ovulating and it felt closed as well. i got my bfp at 15 dpo
