I am not one, but I'm 17 and for the past 5-7 months I've had major baby fever.

I was 17 when I got pregnant in junior year with another year to go have birth 3 weeks after turning 18!worked my butt off to catch up and graduate with my class on stage. Went on to community college while still breastfeeding with no supplementing with formula at all. Was stay at home home until my now ex after 5 years of abuse and much more along with his drug use. The last 2 1/2 years out of 5 I sent trying to find a way out of the horrible relationship. I loved being a mom but not being a single mom working two jobs to get a car that was my own not my ex. And to get my life back for my son and myself. In my town it’s very common to see teen moms some in middle school but mainly in high. With 90% dropping out and becoming state dependent. Not saying being dependent on state and or your parents but in my situation I wanted to prove that to my ex and my mom who both asked me to abort the pregnancy bc I lost my college scholarship. I refused and continued to grow up fast like I have done since I was to young to understand how hard life was growing up with a single mother watching her struggle and put her whole life on hold for her children she was almost 40 when she had me with 3 other kids by her ex husband. Wait I know it’s a urge to feel unconditional love from a baby but to have a life and love someone who really loves you back makes it so much more worth it. Now I am married to a wonderful, amazing man who is raising my son with me as his own and still building our lives now with ttc as well. Life comes with challenges in its own don’t throw more at it bc you feel or think you can handle it. Handle 4 months of no sleep bc your child is so sick and having seizures and doctors don’t know why so u watch your child struggling to breath bc meds are making him worse. And get up throw yourself together and go to school to take finals the only thing holding u from your diploma. It’s the hardest thing to do with very lil help from anyone and I had a great support system from my family but no one gave me hand outs my mom is the only person ever to watch my son besides my husband and school. I didn’t ever leave him with his bio dad or let him drive my son he’s in jail now countless times over but we are filling papers in court and as of now 2 grand in and not even started yet.

I am but I recommend waiting it is not wise to unless you are married and financially stable and not living with your parents. I am married at 17 and live with my husband who is 19 I got pregnant at 16 and I wish I would have waited you will not have the sleep you get now trust me lol

I agree. Wait a few years. Baby fever is one thing... and normal, because I had it at your age. Actually bringing a baby into the world when you’re still just a kid yourself is another. Give yourself a few years to mature, to graduate, to experience life and get settled in a career and most importantly a home, because I speak from experience when I say it SUCKS bringing a child into the world when you don’t have your OWN home for them to grow up in.
