Anovulatory cycles in the absence of PCOS or other disorder?

Hey all! Have any of you ladies simply missed your period in the absence of pregnancy during a random month of the year? I’m 7 days late and having negative HPTs. My doctor said I could still be pregnant (which I don’t believe bc I don’t feel pregnant at all) or just didn’t ovulate last month bc of stress etc. So have any of you ladies not ovulated during a random month like that?

I had a month this past sunmer that I didnt get my period, pushed my cycle to 42 days from 33. Sometimes dependibg on stress and work I get 1 a year then he goes back to normal.
Dr told me it was most likely anovulatory cycle. He said if it happens more come see him.
