Am I a bad mom??

Question

I have my daughter who is 14 months. She is EBF. I am 2 months pregnant right now, and I’m due when my daughter will be 21 months. She still breastfeeds, but I’m hoping she will be weaned by the time I deliver.
If I don’t breastfeed the child I’m currently due with am I a bad mom?
I honestly just want my body back. After being pregnant, EBF for a year, then getting pregnant and still breastfeeding I’m so over it.

I have 3 kids and ebf my oldest 2 until 14 months, then had next baby a few months later. You're likely having this "I'm done" feeling because you're ready to wean your toddler. The thought of breastfeeding another sounded exhausting while I was still breastfeeding my older one.  If it were me, I'd go ahead and actively wean your toddler, give yourself a little break and see how you feel when baby comes. The baby benefits from breastmilk even more than your toddler  (I'm not saying it doesn't benefit toddlers, just in comparison) I actually find breastfeeding easier than bottle. But of course it doesn't make you a bad mom if it doesn't work out.

As long as your feeding your child, then it doesn’t matter 💕 I breastfed, my sister used formula....all of our children turned out just fine. Do what’s best for you! Happy mama = happy baby 💕💕

No you don’t have to breastfeed, it actually helps you get your body back faster though, but no you’re not a bad mom as long as your baby is fed it’s doesn’t matter. I can understand how you feel except my son stopped breastfeeding around 9 months and that’s when we found out we were pregnant again hahah, so I got lucky with that haha. Does your daughter like cows milk? If so maybe start giving her more of that and less boob? Hopefully something helps!!

No. There’s no requirement you have to breast feed every child. Do what’s best for you. We use enfamil gentlease when I couldn’t produce enough to keep up and baby is doing great

I know the want to have your body back. I’m pregnant with baby 3 and nursed baby 1 until 5 months pregnant with baby 2 and only until 2 month pregnant this time around. I basically have be pregnant and/or nursing for over 3 years straight. We want more then 3 so I feel like I’ll be pregnant and nursing babies for a long long time. I’m so looking forward to the time when my body will be my own again.
