I have two and am 10 weeks 3 days and have been trying to find mine since 9 weeks and Cannot so for me I'm going to say frustrating.

Got one with my last pregnancy because of a previous miscarriage and found it at 9 weeks, now im 10 weeks and just found it today my sonoline b works amazingly. You just have to be patient and not move it too fast.

I was advised against them. Considering even the FDA suggests limiting ultrasounds and dopplers unless necessary, I plan on staying away from a personal Doppler. Not worth the risk to me!
