Scan advice??

Question

My doctors have booked me in on the 28th of December (i will be 7/8 weeks) but they said i wont have a scan till 12 weeks. 
Would you guys go private and book a scan at 9 weeks just to ensure everything is okay? Im thinking about doing it as i have  previously had a miscarriage at 5/6 weeks in july😔 
Any advice would be great👍🏻☺️

I specifically asked my doctor to do an ultra sound and they agreed, although they said I could wait until I was further along. They took into consideration my medical history and also my personal fears. If you explain to your doctor they may do one. If not, I would get an independent one personally due to my anxiety and fear of not knowing.

I think you need to do whatever will bring you peace of mind, and if you can afford a private scan and getting one will bring you peace rather than stress, I say go for it. There are 2 kinds of people, people who like to know as much as possible whether it be good or bad, that way you at least know what’s going on and can process the proper emotions accordingly. And the people who cope better with the least amount of information and prefer to just stay positive, and are able to stay positive without knowing details and the thought of a impending scans causes them stress.

I was thinking the same, I’m worried too. I mc in October & now pregnant. Can’t stop worrying I just wanna know everything’s ok. Xx
