Which doctor should I see for a UTI if I haven't had my first OB appointment yet?

I'm 7.5 weeks pregnant and haven't see my OB yet. I have an appointment for next Friday but don't want to wait that long if I do have a UTI. Should I try and get in sooner with my OB or just go to my normal doctor?

You can call your OB and they can order lab for you to verify and then give you meds. That's what I would do. Does your doctor use MyChart?

Either one. I had a UTI at 4 weeks and just went to an urgent care. I told them I was pregnant and they prescribed a pregnancy friendly antibiotic (Macrobid). That’s what my OB’s said they would’ve prescribed anyway. It went away and now current 8 weeks 2 days with no problems.
