Scented body wash/detergent?

My LO's father is military and just got back. We have a five-week old baby. He uses body wash and detergent with fragrance in it and that worries me a bit with him holding the baby a lot. Am I being overprotective? I don't want to bother him to change everything unless it's a legitimate concern.

Unless your baby has a reaction to it, there’s zero reason to worry. We didn’t change anything in our home when we brought our daughter home and she’s just fine.

unless your baby has been diagnosed with sensitive skin or allergies, i wouldnt worry too much.  but i am old fashioned to a degree and i believe in exposing them to life so their immune system builds up stronger.  you just do what your mommy instincts are telling you.  that is your baby and you know whats best.

My son and I both have sensitive skin and body washes and deodorants have not bothered my son when near him it’s more if you used them on his own skin or if you washed the clothes in something, being around that stuff the baby will fine
