They didn't want to see me until I reached 8 weeks. We were so excited, I thought I was going to get an ultrasound & hear the heartbeat but I was disappointed when the doctor said he wasn't going to do either because there's "not much to see". I had gone to the ER a few weeks ago because I was having spotting & cramping. They gave me an ultrasound & I was 6 weeks at the time & we were able to hear a faint heartbeat. Though all the staff was nice & attentive, I don't think I'm going back to this OB. It's frustrating because I don't have a car at the moment so I have to walk to all of m appointments. I chose this office specially because it's 15 minutes away from my house on foot. They are associated with UPMC which doesn't work well with my insurance for some reason. The ER I went to is under Allegheny Health Network & I think im just going to go with them. The hospital is only a 10 minute drive from my house. Rather than going through UPMC, which I would have to deliver at Mercy or Magee in downtown Pittsburgh, and I absolutely don't want to do that. I was just hoping to find an office nearby that I can have minimal problems going to, but nothing is ever easy. The OB ordered for me to get an ultrasound but the imagining place is farther away than the office. why wouldn't they just give me one while I was there? And I don't even know if my insurance will cover it at the office they want me to go to. I'm glad I have time to figure all of this out it is just so frustrating.😔😳😳
