does bb cream cause acne?

my dermatologist said bb cream cause acne even the oily-free bb cream so I shouldnt use it, is it true? I mean I trust her but really? I have oily skin and the only thing that my skin may cause acne is my PMS and hormone imbalance.. I usually wear maybelline bb cream pure mineral which is oily-free and I use it everytime I go outside so it kinda bothers me when I'm not using it like.. something is missing

Bb cream can definitely cause acne, especially oil free. Oil free products are not the way to go, dry or oily skin. I still suffer from cystic chin acne but since I've stopped putting anything on my face besides a lotion (and I don't wear much makeup so I pretty much only used bb cream) the rest of my face cleared up rather nicely. When I want to feel like I'm wearing makeup I just put on lotion at the time I'd put on bb cream and then put on a little blush and I'm good to go.

anything you put on your skin can clog your pores and cause acne. As long as you wash your face every night I wouldn’t worry lol

I used a tube of B.B. cream once, didn’t want to waste it. Started breaking out and as soon as it was empty and stopped using it, my skin went back to normal. Everybody is different but it could definitely be a cause of acne
