I still get notifications from this poll I did a couple of months ago regarding throwing tampons in the toilet. I’m quite shocked many women do this. The thing is, any period product (except menstrual cup) is meant to be absorbent and not break down. It GROWS. You know what that means? Possible clogged pipes. Maybe not at your house, but it can sure travel and cause a problem elsewhere. So please ladies, don’t flush any period products down the toilet. You can wrap them in toilet paper or use doggy bags. Furthermore, you shouldn’t be ashamed of throwing out your period products because you’re afraid of someone seeing it. It’s something so natural! Besides, no one’s ever gonna approach you and say, “Oh yeah I saw what you did there. Throwing your tampons in the trash for all to see.” THEY would be the weird ones. 😂 Ummm someone mentioned that they drop tampons in the toilet accidentally. Don’t know what to say to that. 🤔 If blood grosses you out...yeah don’t know what to say to that either. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But i think we can all make an effort to not flush period products. 😅👍🏻❤️
