when can I take a pregnancy test? Am I doing everything right?

Hello I have pcos and I don't have regular periods and never ovulate. My husband and I have been ttc for almost 3 years and this month something crazy happened. My period stated on its own for the first time in 4 years so my fertility dr gave me Clomid. I took the Clomid but my period lasted 15 days so the clomid was of of my System to fast. I got an ultrasound on the 8th and she said i wasn't ready to ovulate I took an ovulation tests the 9th but forgot the 10th. I took an ovulation tests on the 11th and it was positive. But the 12th and 13th it was negative. Idk how these work cause I have never went through it. I had sex on the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th but should I have on the 9th? Did I do anything wrong? Also whrn can I start testing to see if I am pregnant? Thanks in advance everyone!
