Hello!

My baby is 4 days old today. She had her first pediatrician appointment and the doctor was very happy with how she’s doing. She’s lost 4 ounces since birth which the doctor said is normal.

My concern is that she spits up after every feeding and she spits up a lot. I worry that she’s spitting up her entire meal. I burp her halfway through a feeding and she still spits up.

The doctor isn’t concerned at this moment and wants to monitor her weight. He said based on how she’s doing it does not seem to be a problem but it really is a lot of spit up.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so do you have any tips on how to prevent it? I’m breast feeding and she’ll have pumped milk when she doesn’t seem full after a feeding. Thanks!
