Maybe PCOS but they're not sure. What symptoms did/do you ladies have?

Question

I have another ultrasound tomorrow because of my symptoms, the 1st one (nor the blood tests) didn't show any cysts but my doctors think it is.. They also think it could be something else due to thickening of the endometrial lining. Also sounds like Endometriosis. Been TTC for over a year.

I'm trying to rule out cancer, I'm so nervous about the ultrasound tomorrow.. 😣

when I first got diagnosed with pcos. I was having really sharp painful pains in my lower right side. my pcp thought it was my appendix. got sent to the emergency room they did a cat scan and it was negative. so a week later I was still having the pains and they were more intense. my pcp admitted me to the hospital for the weekend. I had another cat scan and even ultrasounds and everything came back negative. finally an obgyn came in and talked to me. 2 weeks later I was still having the pains and so he decided to go in and do a laparoscopy on me. That's when he found that both my ovaries where covered in cyst. he didn't have a clue on why they would not show up on the ultrasounds and cat scans. my symptoms are:  my hair is falling out, weight gain and can not loose any weight for anything, and missed periods. good luck to you I hope they can figure out what is going on with you.. many prayers coming your way.

I was diagnosed with PCOS but instead of multiple cysts I tend to get large cysts covering my ovaries (around 1 1/2” in diameter). I struggle with acne, weight gain & trouble losing weight, excess hair, my fasting blood sugar nears 100 (still within average, but definitely high average), and only slightly irregular periods. I typically have a period each month, but my cycles range from 24 days to 34 days, and BBT and OPKs indicate that I do not ovulate on my own.

PCOS can be diagnosed on symptoms alone. Everyone’s ovaries go through phases, even those with pcos. So, at some points they may show no cysts, but with repeat ultrasounds you’d likely see the cysts. Even still, if you have enough of the other symptom you likely have pcos. For me the main one is anovulation. I was getting 4-5 periods a year. Severe cramping, acne and excess body hair are my other symptoms. I hope they get it figured out for you!
