Should I exercise?

I am 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant as of today, this is my first pregnancy! I walk everyday, stretch at least once and week and do more a more rigorous workout once a month. I’m interested in going to the gym again to stay healthy in general and keep up with my shape during pregnancy & somewhat prepare for after but I am not sure if it would be healthy me and the baby???? Please help!! Some sites say most exercise except basic cardio is dangerous while others say lifting super heavy things is dangerous.
