Gender preference

I come from a family of all boys.. 4 brothers and 4 cousins that are all boys. I’m the only girl. My husband and I have 1 son, and I’m really really praying this baby is a girl! And if it’s another boy, I’m going to be a bit disappointed..

Now I’ve said this to a few people and they can’t understand how I could be upset if it’s a boy? I always get the “it doesn’t matter as long as it’s healthy”. Of course I want my baby to be healthy, I would just like to have a little girl over another boy. I know I have no choice, I will love my baby regardless of the gender and I’m very blessed to be having another baby. But I would really love to have a girl.

Please tell me I’m not alone? It’s probably a mix of the hormones but I feel like people think I’m a bad mum or ungrateful for having a preference 😩
