Which breast pump do you prefer?

My insurance allows me the two options and the reviews are great on both, so I thought I️ would get some input from nursing moms. Thanks!

I exclusively pumped and got way more, with less pain, using my spectra over my medela

Models is definitely the more popular brand. It’s nice because you can buy accessories pretty much anywhere. The spectra s2 is great, but if you want accessories, you have to order them online. You can use other brand accessories with it, you just need the adaptors!

I used a Medela pump that my hospital let me use while my LO was in the NICU and I unfortunately got a lot more out with that one than my Spectra. Unfortunately the pump that the NICU let me use was $1500, and my Spectra was $175 but 100% covered by insurance. I have the Spectra S1  and do enjoy that I don’t have to plug it in to use it because of the rechargeable battery

Medela doesn’t have closed system unless you get the hospital grade one.  This lost my vote for them.

I have the Medela Sonata Smart Pump. I do not pump much, however, I love the Sonata so far.

I love my Spectra s1. It’s so quiet that when I pump at night it doesn’t wake up my SO or baby 🙂
