Stopping birth control
I am wanting to stop taking my birth control, I originally started out with a POP and hated it because it made me have a period every two weeks. Once I started taking the pill with estrogen everything was smooth sailing for about 4 years. My doctor now will not let me continue taking estrogen and switched me back to a POP (due to migraines). It’s only been a little more than a month and it’s doing the same thing, I’m now I’m my period for the second time. Since my doctor isn’t giving me any other options (nor planned parenthood, I’ve already tried) and being on my period for two weeks out of the month isn’t really an option for me either (I’ll go fricken crazy) I guess I’m going to have to get off BC altogether.
My question is what should I expect when I get off it? I’m currently on my period so when I stop taking the pills will I continue to bleed longer? I was thinking about waiting to stop taking the pills until this period is over but if it’s going to make me bleed anyways then I might as well stop taking it now.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!!
