Why do a lot of white people get tans?

Some people like it, it hides blemishes better and makes you look less like an extra in a zombie movie. I can't tan though, I just get burned and get loads of freckles that make me look even more pale. I'm rocking the zombie look all year round

I’m not white I’m biracial. But I look white and I tan so my skin looks even all over and because I want to actually not look white

So I'm not pale ass white. I embrace both looks but sometimes I just need some color and I dont tan naturally I just burn and go back to being white. So the only way for me to tan is to fake tan since I cannot naturally get the color. I also have always gotten teased for being as white as I am so if I want to wear shorts or a dress I will tan just to avoid the comment people make about me being so white. my brothers and I are all super pale white and my mom dad and brother's dad are all tan so we just didn't get those genetics apparently.

Well I’m half white & i still tan I’m not pale at all but just to give my over all body an even tan , since I can’t tan naked outside
