Hey ladies. I got a positive HPT test a week ago after TTC for a year and 2 miscarriages. Today at work I vomited and was told to go to a urgent care to rule out a virus because i work with the elderly at a nursing home. I figured it was just morning sickness but didn't want the job to know of my pregnancy yet🙄. Anyways, I went to the ER they gave me a urine and blood test. Both were positive and I was told my HCG number was 18759!!!!.........Is that a normal number this early or did he meant to say 1875. I was really irritated with how unprofessional the Drs there were. I sat there from 1:40pm to 7:37pm. I asked the Dr what's the hold up he said he's waiting on a urinalysis to come back to see if I had a UTI. That was at 4pm. By 6pm I asked again and that Dr had left for the day and his relief Dr took over. He forgot to tell the new Dr about my urinalysis results, so I thought they were still waiting on the results. He also told me that he would put my HCG number on my discharge papers. The new Dr came in to release me, he didn't know anything about the urinalysis so he went to check the results. While he did that a Nurse assistant brought me my discharge papers which I realized didn't have my HCG number on there like he said it would. I told the Nurse asst, (who didn't seem very professional and was quite rude) and he went into the computer and got my HCG number and told me it was 18759... Told me that number like 3 times. And I'm like WOW, is he suure, but I sat in there so long I didn't care I was ready to go. Sorry for this long post. But do u ladies think this is a normal number this early. Oh and the DR I saw when I first got there told me he wasn't sure how far along I am. He said somewhere between 5-7weeks😒 he didn't do a ultrasound. I missed my AF Dec 10 so that would make me 5 weeks today. I thought.
