So I’m currently interning at a police department, and he’s a police officer He’s 26 and I’m 20 (I don’t think it’s a big age difference) but would It be wrong to date him or should I wait till my internship over ?  Btw he’s not my mentor.

I think you should just wait until your internship is over. It can get complicated depending on the workplace so it’s best to just wait it out and not have that stress looming over you.

Wait. I don’t know the dynamics of the department you are at or how large of a department it is. But best to be safe and just wait until your mentorship is over. Even the appearance of something inappropriate can be harmful to both of your careers.

I think it 100% depends on your departments policies. The police department I worked for didn’t have a policy against it. It seemed like half of the department was dating each other. Lol. But I wouldn’t risk your internship over it. Even if you keep it quite, someone always finds out. And you don’t want to have a bad reputation among departments because of it, especially if your internship is because you want to work in LE. If they do have a policy against it, I’d put the relationship on hold until you are no longer with the department.
