Do you get blood clots with a UTI?

Don’t freak out over the color! I took an Azo pill. But I have been getting blood clots in my urine when I have a UTI. They hurt really badly to pass, and I read online that it can happen with a UTI, but seriously every time I go I have like 3+ clots come out. Just wondering if anyone else has this or has in the past. If you do (or did), what was the underlying cause?

Holy shit that looks like a kidney infection and you should go to the E.R. ASAP! I recently had a kidney infection and had to go to the hospital and they told me that if you let it go for too long you can get blood poisoning or have renal failure.

Your piss is not normal.. even with a uti... girl I'd be getting my ass to the er right away if I were you to get the right kind of antibiotics.. judging by the colour it looks vary progressed and could turn deadly vary soon.

Hospital asap !!! I've had utis since I was 12 years old I'm now 28.  I get them no less than 5 times a year as this is a lot less than when I was younger.  I haven't ever had that happen !!!!  Utis if not treated can travel to your kidneys and this happened TO ME.  Let me just begin that this is the WORST PAIN IVE EVER DELT WITH.  I actually compare a kidney infection with birth.  It literally feels like knifes in your back !  I took over a week to cure.  Please go to the re NOW

omg. Please go to the doctor. UTI? With blood clots and tissue? AND you're taking LEFT OVER antibiotics?!?! 
Not all antibiotics do the same thing and work on the same tissues, and a partial course could cause the bacteria to become immune to the antibiotic, which will mean you will need a more specific antibiotic! Go to the doctor, get it cultured, tell them what you've taken and how much for how long! This is no joke. You can be fine one minute and be septic the next.

Go to a doctor before you end up hospitalized for a kidney infection. Azo does nothing but give you freaky coloured urine. You need antibiotics.

Azo changes urine color, I know from experience (and it warns you on some of the labels to wear a liner to prevent staining on your underwear), but the clots are not normal at all. You need to go to the Dr asap bc it could be kidney related. I didn't have any kidney pain, I just thought it was a bad uti but it turned out to be kidney infection with stones. It was horrible and I let it go to long not knowing what it was. Don't make the same mistake!

I think it might be a kidney stone?? The urine color makes sense because of the AZO, but that thing in the bottom definitely isn't normal! Go get checked out sister. Feel better soon!!!

Could also be the bacteria as it looks like the borders of it are not red. Looks like you could have a pretty far progressed UTI that is moving to the kidneys I would call your doctor ASAP to get treatment started if you haven’t already. Feel better soon!

I have had blood in urine once with uti but it never was this kinda red it looked more like pink lemonade. You need to go to er ASAP hun.
