Possible Disaster?

My boyfriend keeps all of his ex girlfriend's gifts, love letters, etc.. and every time I ask him to get rid of it, he refuses and gets really defensive. He also keeps in contact with almost all of his ex's and doesn't want to stop talking to them. I don't know what to do. Please help!!!
