Should I be worried?

Hi everyone! So my LO is almost 7 months and is not sitting yet, he tries so hard and I’ve don’t everything to help him but he’s not there yet. Also he’s been with his gums swollen for the longest time and biting on everything and no teeth. Is this normal? Is he falling behind? Has this happened to any of you? I am a ftm so this is all too new to me.

I wouldn’t worry at all. Every baby does things when they’re ready. My LO is almost 7 months and can sit up just fine, but she’s rather be on her tummy rolling around. I can’t leave her alone sitting because she’ll throw herself backwards.

I don’t think there’s any reason to worry. My LO is almost 7 months old and has been sitting unassisted for a small period of time since 6 months and just recently he’s gotten better and can do longer. When he was at his 6 month check up his doctor was surprised he could sit for a little by himself. So by her expression I’m guessing that’s early for babies to be sitting unassisted. Also my LO is almost 7 months and doesn’t crawl or even try. He also has a hard time still rolling over from his belly to his back. I always worry he’s falling behind but everyone is always saying how all babies are different and so although it doesn’t make it any easier or take the load off your chest from worrying I’ll tell you the same. All babies are different and develop at different paces. Just keep working with your LO.

My son will be 7 months on the 19th. He just started sitting up unassisted for long periods of time. Last week he was wobbley, this week he got it down. He also gets on all fours and rocks. Doesn’t have the crawling concept just yet. He has no teeth and doesn’t say much but scream, blow raspberries, and occasionally babbles. No mama or dada yet. Boys generally take longer, so I’m not too concerned. My daughter was a little more advanced when she was his age. Each baby is different. They will get it when they are ready.
