How long did you keep your pregnancy a secret?

Question

For years everyone has been asking when we will have another child (my son is 8). 
It was always so hard on me bc I had fertility issues. After that question I would always go home and cry.
well, just found out we are about 5weeks pregnant and we are keeping it a secret for a while.... but it's so hard. how did you do it?

We have always waited until 12 weeks. I had a SIL that told everyone at 8 weeks with her first and then had a miscarriage. It was super sad for all of us (it would have been the first grandchild/niece/nephew) and when people would come up to congratulate her she’d have to tell them she miscarried. It was awkward and, I’m sure, super sad for her. While it was hard to keep mine a secret, remembering my SIL’s experience made it easier.

With my 1st,2nd&3rd I told everybody everyone at the time my test can back positive. But this time round after me miscarriage last year I have kept this one a secret. The only ones that know are my parents and my sister, we haven’t even told our boys yet. They will all find out on Christmas Day.

Our son turned 9 last month and I am 11 wks along with baby #2. We haven't told any one yet but plan to announce it to our family at Christmas when we go back home. I will be 12 wks by then. The only ones that know right now are the neighbors across from us and my son's teacher; he told his teacher and told his friend across the street who then told her parents. They congratulated me and I was surprised to find out they knew. Lol

First baby here and I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. It's been so hard, days seem to drag that only hubby and I know. We've decided all friends and family we won't announce til 12 weeks. However we did decide to tell our folks and siblings after the 1st or 2nd doctor's appointment. Whenever we have an ultrasound and hear the heartbeat. If God forbid anything happens, we would like the love and support of our folks. Specially my Mama, hate for her to not have known.
