Can i start forward facing my son?

My son is 14 months old, and 23lbs. He seems to enjoy the forward face much more, and can interact with me or dad in the vehicle, and seems to sleep better that way also. Is it too soon or should I go ahead with it?

2 is the bare minimum. Age 4 or older is best and safest. Children who rear until they're older have the best outcomes in a crash.

It doesn’t matter if he enjoys forward facing more. He absolutely needs to be rear facing until he’s at least 2 years old. We bought the Graco Extend2Fit car seat and fully plan to keep her rear facing until she’s maxed out of the height and weight requirements. It’s much safer for then fo be rear facing.

Can’t where I live, state law requires rear-facing until at least 2 years here. My son is 15 months, 21lbs, and there is no way in hell I’d feel comfortable with him facing forward, he’s so so little. I’d try to max out the weight/height requirements for your rear-facing seat, rear-facing is safest.

No 2yrs old and at least 30lbs. The ways babies organs are if an accident happens it can cause much more damage in a forward facing baby that does not meet these requirements. My daughter is 2yrs old 32lbs and 38" tall and is still rear facing.
