Who to have in the delivery room?

I know it ultimately comes down to me and what I want but I need help deciding.. it’s my first baby and my husband wants it to just be me and him and I would rather it be that way. But at the same time me and my mom are very close and it would really hurt her to not be in there. She takes everything to heart even when it’s not the intentions at all. I want my time with just the 3 of us for a little while before we have any visitors.

I had my mom in there with me. I mean she’s been through this 3 times so she’s more of an expert than my fiancé is. I’m honestly glad my mom was with me and my fiancé in the delivery room. Just like you and your mom I’m super close to my mom too. It was definitely a special moment for us. Also being the comic relief she made everything less stressful.

Maybe ask her to come and support you but explain that when baby is about to be born at the push stage you want it to be just the two of you and she can come in once you've had a bit of a time as a new family of 3. Thens shes not completely losing out but you get your bonding time 😬

In a perfect scenario, I’d want it to like like the movies ya know. Just my husband and I welcoming in our new baby girl and for everything to go perfect. But I also know how much it means to my mom that I’m allowing her in here and in turn, her support always means the absolute word to me. She’s my best friend. So they’ll both be in there with me. I couldn’t do it without my two biggest support systems by my side. I can honestly say I’ll never regret having them both in there. I’ll never look back and think that I made the wrong choice. She’s been there for me when no one else has, she’s seen me through my lowest points in life and now she gets to be beside me while I welcome a true blessing into the world. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We plan to be just me and hubby. The reason I don’t want my mom in there is because she is going to tell me what to do and doesn’t agree with my birth plan. So sorry, but I don’t need any negativity in the room. We haven’t talked about it but I’m assuming that she knows as I haven’t asked her to be in there.

My sister had the whole damn family, and she said her and her husband barely had that time alone after their boys were born
I listened, and invited no one. It pissed people off, but I’m so shy anyway it would have been super uncomfortable and you can’t get those moments back.
People can wait until you’re home. It’s fine.

I’m only having my fiancé and both our moms are not gonna be there. They both are upset about this but at the end of the day my mom understands, his mom in the other hand is shitty about it but I could care less. It’s my birth experience!

well I suggest just you and your hubby but like you said it up 2 you, me and my fiance did just me and him because we wanted it to be a special moment just us and no one else. once everything got settled after we had her. Then we invited our family to come up.
