Just need to vent. 38+6 with baby #1. Started having contractions yesterday morning while sitting in church that continued through lunch with my family and by the time I️ got home at 2:30 and started timing they were 4-6 min apart. Called my doctor and was told to head in to the hospital to get checked. They got stronger and more painful during the 30 min drive, and by the time I️ got hooked up they were registering 2-3 min apart on the monitor. The PA checked me and I️ was only 2 cm and 90% effaced, so she had me walk around for 2 hours and get rechecked. No progress. Got sent home and was told to take a Benadryl and try to sleep. Today they have stopped completely and left me feeling extremely sore and miserable. I️ know false labor is common, but after 10 hours of consistent contractions I️ really thought this was it. I️ have no faith in my body anymore and I’m scared I️ won’t know the difference between another false alarm and the real thing. The thought of possibly going another 2 weeks like this is so depressing. 😔
