Clomid with IUI, potential for triplets????😧

Hi girls I need your help; I had a sono today and I have 2 dominant follicles and a smaller third follicle. My doctor suggested two things, canceling this cycle because of the risk of twins or triplets or moving forward with trigger shot tonight and IUI on Wednesday. Of course we want to move forward because it’s what we’ve waited for but now I am SO nervous because I don’t know what I would if I have triplets. I definitely wanted at least two kids and having to upfront would be okay but nervous about three. And I do not believe in terminating any of the potential babies. Anyone have this experience and what was the outcome? Should I be concerned? Any advice or reassurance you can provide would be greatly appreciated thanks.

After the trouble you are clearly having to get you to this point, I say let the multiples be your blessings that never came true on their own and love each baby as much as the other!!!! Some people never get to have one let alone multiples 😊

Depends on the follicle sizes, to some degree.
I have had four mature follicles and not gotten pregnant at all... the number isn't a guarantee of anything, unfortunately. I'm currently pregnant with twins after having just two mature follicles, one on each ovary. 
And I will say, to those who say they would love twins... there was a time when I would have said that I would have loved to have two after years of trying. Now that it's a reality, though, even though I am thrilled, I would have preferred one at a time. There are just so many more risks and issues that you don't consider until you're confronted with it. I'm lucky and have had a smooth pregnancy so far, but I am by no means the norm. At 27 weeks I was measuring in at 35 already. That alone is a struggle, and I'm lucky enough to not have any issues with nausea, GD, pre-e, etc.

I have 3 mature follices and will be using on trigger tomorrow and iui Thursday!!!

Thank you all for your responses!! I just did the trigger shot and am going for IUI on Wednesday. I will keep you all posted on how it goes. I’m less nervous now and more excited. Hope it works🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🌸

I just had my first IUI today! I personally would probably not cancel but I am hoping for twins 🙄 .  wouldn't it be a slim chance for triplets? maybe ask for more information if you can't decide. I have read others posts when they had 3 follicles and went ahead. I had two and they didn't say anything but I signed something that says I know the risk of multiples with femera/IUI.

I had two on one side and one on the other and they didn’t seem concerned I’d have multiples or to cancel. Although at the beginning they just made sure I knew there was always a higher chance of multiples in this treatment. She also said if it was dangerous she would tell me to cancel. But they gave me the go ahead to trigger! 🤞

I was told the risk for twins is only with 4 mature follicles.

My doctor said twin is 5 percents, triplet is 1 percents, I’m not sure why your doctor wants to cancel with 3 follicles, my doctor would cancel with 4-6, 1-3 is desirable. 
Maybe every doctor is different.

I had 4 mature follicles during my IUI and I currently am pregnant with 1 baby. There’s like a 10% chance of getting multiples, and that’s why we went ahead. It’s soooo low

I had an IUI cycle canceled due to producing 9 mature follicles on my first round of femara. Honestly, I was heart broken to cancel. Before my blood work I was given a 17% chance of multiples. After my blood work, the chance doubled for twins and remained the same for multiples of 2 or more. While I didn’t want to cancel, my RE insisted because he didn’t want us to have to go through selections. I still regret canceling.
