Angelcare Monitor

Does anyone have this? I’ve decided to have my baby sleep in his crib in his own room from night one if it works out. I know room sharing is “recommended” but I spent a lot of hours looking at articles and decided that it would be best to have him in his own room. With room sharing it cuts the possibility of SIDS by 50% but there really doesn’t seem to be much study or reason behind it, like every article said that but it didn’t say why. That being said, of course I want him safe and need a good monitor. Obviously I won’t have loose blankets or anything in the crib, putting baby to sleep on back, and swaddling. My husband thinks I’m being paranoid in wanting a movement detector but I think it would be a nice and provide peace of mind. Any other recommendations?
