Root canal tomorrow!! Any advice or positive words?

I have bad dentist anxiety especially with this trouble tooth. It's right in front and I'm getting a root canal on it and fitted for a crown and I don't know what to expect. Super nervous 😬😩

I was super nervous getting the root canal done on one of my front teeth but its been almost a year and you still cant tell! Just try to remember that it will all be over in a few hours and if you dont do it the pain will never end. I felt sooo much better a day or two after it got done and havent regretted it at all!

I get needle anxiety, so they put numbing cream on me first, and I didn't feel the needle (also I can't look at the syringe)

I went to the dentist for the first time ever just a month ago they told me i needed two root canals i was so nervous bc of the anesthetic. All went well the needle stings at first but it’s not unbearable and then you’ll be numb for hours lol the worst part for me is i had to keep going back i just want it to be over with i just got temp crowns put on today and got to go back to get the permanent ones in January. It’s not bad just time consuming

I'm a dental assistant, so I assist in root canals multiple times a week. Also I've had one done on my very back molar. I promise you, they do not hurt at all. I couldn't even tell you how many patients fall asleep in my chair because it's painless and boring as hell, lol. As long as you're in good health, you can ask for extra freezing to make you comfortable or you can ask for laughing gas. If it's in the front it's only 1 canal and those go really fast. It's best to do the root canal and wait at least a week to allow it to calm down before fitting it for a crown. Get the crown done within 3-5 months at the most, because once you remove the nerve, the tooth is dead and can break and discolour. It's normal after the root canal to feel SOME discomfort, but as long as it's getting better over the next few days, it will be just fine. Make sure to take some Advil before the freezing wears off, it'll help with pain. Hope all goes well.
