He finished in me

I’ve been on the pill for several months and take it 100% correctly, on time everyday. My boyfriend and I have not been using condoms for a few months and it’s tricky for him to time pulling out sometimes so I told him that it’s not a big deal, I trust my birth control. He has refused because he would be a nervous wreck.

Today I was on top and he told me he was close a little too late so he finished in me part way. I start my period tomorrow so I told him he didn’t have to stress so much but he won’t listen.

Am I right to tell him not to worry ?
