I have been breastfeeding for a week and a half, and my right boob has started giving me issues. When she’s feeding after a few min I get a sharp pain in my nipple and it goes down the side of my boob towards the middle of my chest. I’ve adjusted her latch and worked with a specialist. I also have a nipple shield I use occasionally but the pain in my actual boob, not the nipple doesn’t go away when she’s done feeding. It’s very tender to the touch and just hurts. I don’t feel any lumps like milk sacs so I’m not sure why it still hurts.
