Anyone use zipadee zip or nested bean?

Just wondering if they’re as amazing as the reviews in the websites are. We’ve tried the halo and he breaks out, love to dream is too constricting as he really likes his hands next to his face, and the Merlin just looks like a torture device. I like the idea of the nested bean because he does sleep better with my hand on his chest but I really want to transition him to his bassinet or crib. I like the idea of the zipadee because he did like the swaddling affect of the live to dream but hated his hands being so constricted

So I have tried them all!! Our son will legit startle himself into next week if he could. He was swaddled but was getting to point where he was breaking out of the swaddle blanket and halo. Bought Merlin and transitioned him to his crib went from sleeping 6-8 hours to 8-10 hours. I lowered temperature to 68 and put him in there with only a nappy/diaper but his wee hands and feet would get cold. Merlin is great but I hate that it delays them from rolling over. I also was freaked out about overheating. It did make him sleep longer though and it does restrict their movement so they won’t startle. It is super easy to get on and off. You do need more than one as it needs to be air dried and that takes forever. I have now transitioned him out of merlin to the Zipadee. My babe is 16lbs and quite tall but the small size fits him. He has been waking up once in middle of night since we started using this a couple of days ago. He is more mobile in this and can roll on his side and will roll into crib bars and get his legs stuck and so waking himself. He can still self soothe with his hands through the material which is good. I like that it’s light weight also and gives him freedom of movement but also feeling of containment! Easy to wash!!! Next step is a sleep sack with arms completely out! We have tried him in this a couple times but he’s not ready- he will literally whack himself in the face over and over  and keep himself awake!

I know you said you’re not interested in the Merlin’s Sleep Suit, but we use it and it worked wonders for it. Now my son gets so excited when he gets zipped into his suit.

I just got the zipadee zip. I’m on my second night of using it. He’s going through big changes of moving to a crib and then he broke out of the halo swaddle so also being unswaddled. We had a rough few nights but the last two were not bad. And he’s been going down to sleep quicker. He does seem to like it so far!

We use the zippadee zip, but only started using it once my son could roll over and we needs dto stop swaddling.  We preferred the halo sleep sacks with the two “thin” Velcro straps, not the big wings.  he Didn’t usually Houdini out of it.  As for the zippadee zip, it hardly offers any resistance to movement, but it keeps our sons hands covered, otherwise his hands would get SO cold at night.  And he can also safely roll over in it and sit up.  We also bought the Merlin, and my son hated it.  Different strokes for different babies.  If you have any other questions about the zippadee zip I am happy to answer them!

We have the Nested Bean Zen sack, not the Swaddle sack. Unfortunately The biggest Nested Bean Swaddle sack is too short for our tall little bean stalk, so we had to buy the sack. I bought an arm swaddle to use with the Nested Bean sack (basically just a Velcro wrap that goes around his arms to contain them). He slept okay, but honestly our favorite Swaddle is the Love to Dream Swaddle. It’s amaaaaazing. It has a zipper that’s impossible to break out of, and it allows your baby to keep his/her hands by their face, rather than held down at their sides like most swaddles. I’ve been curious about the zippadee Swaddle, but we love the Love to Dream swaddle so much we don’t really have any reason to transition to a different swaddle. We are currently using the 50/50 swaddle, which allows you to unzip the arms and use it as a regular sleep sack whenever you’re ready to transition your baby out of a swaddle.
