So my bf of 3 years now and I are expecting our first child together. He already has a 5 yo that he has joint custody of. He’s a great father to her which led me to believe that he would be the same for our child. But lately I’ve been feeling other wise. The issue is that I’m 7 months pregnant and besides going half with me on her nursery furniture, he hasn’t brought anything for our baby but 6 onesies. 6 onesies, that’s it.

I’ve brought plenty of clothes, some bibs, hats, bows, nursery decorations, and pampers, etc. My mom brought us a stroller and car seat and I plan to get whatever else I’ll need after my baby shower. It just kinda hurts my feelings because I see him go out and buy clothes and shoes for his other daughter yet nothing for our baby. When I brought it up to him he got very defensive.

I get that with his first child he has no choice but to get her things because when he has her it’s all on him and she doesn’t bring clothes or anything when she comes. But the fact that our child will be here in 2 months and he hasn’t taken an initiative to buy anything, bothers me. Maybe he just thinks I’ll get it all. But he could at least give me some money or something...
