I’m going to my pediatrician pretty soon because I told my mom I’m having a three week long period. My intention is on getting birth control for pregnancy prevention and to regulate my period. Is my pediatrician going to want to examine my vaginal area the same way the gynecologist does and perform tests? Also can my pediatrician object to giving me combination birth control pills even if my mom is on board with me getting on birth control for period related reasons? PS: I’m 17 years old.
