Personally anything over a dollar at a time is a decent raise. Maybe they only do it yearly and the first review period you were too new like within your first 90days to recurve a review yet so this was your first year to get evaluated and receive a raise 🤷🏼‍♀️ could be annually from here on out. Maybe ask how frequently raises or evaluations typically occur to get a better idea and celebrate your raise congrats!

I don't know what you do and what your base salary is but I wouldn't be impressed, does that even match the cost of inflation?

Depends on how much you make. If you make $12.50 an hour that is a 10% raise, which is great. If you make $25 an hour, it is only 5% which is about average for a year and a half.
