7 week old and germs?

I took my 7 week old to a family Christmas party and allowed one person to hold him which resulted in 8+ people passing him around without using hand sanitizer. I feel so bad and should've stepped in but I was afraid to upset anyone. What will happen if he gets sick? Should I be on the lookout for anything?

We’ve never asked people to wash their hands prior to touching our daughter. We don’t either. She’s now 7 months and very healthy 🤷🏻‍♀️ germs aren’t a bad thing. Sanitizing everything they touch does more harm than good.

All germs aren’t bad germs. As much as we want to put them in bubbles n protect them from EVERYTHING in the world... we can’t unfortunately... stupid right!!! We birth them we should b able to say no to many hands on my child get off get off!!! But the human in us says don’t b a bitch... excuse my lingo but that’s truly how we think when we want to take our child n protect them... I'm planning on putting babe in a carrier, where she'll sleep the entire time. People will see her, but no touching it I can help it. Anyone tries kissing my baby and they'll get a swift slap to the face. They'll be warned, and given no mercy for breaking my rules with my baby.

It’s okay I wouldn’t worry too much. My husband and I are the same way. we prefer for people to have their hands clean before touching our kids (2, 1 and 2months), but you can’t always control that. Plus i hear it’s best for kids to be exposed to germs that way it can strengthen their immune system.

I’ve never asked anyone to wash their hands before touching/holding my son. He’s 3 months old. There will be 23 people in my small house come Sunday and he’ll be passed around. I’m not worried. I’m a teacher and would rather he be exposed to germs here and there rather than have him never develop a good immune system. He’s up to date on his shots and if someone was coughing or obviously sick, I wouldn’t let them have him but most people will tell me they are staying away so he doesn’t get sick. He went to a wedding at 9 days old.
