39 weeks mucus plug?

Question

I’m 39 weeks and 4 days and losing parts of my mucus plug today and having weird swelling and feeling so tired. I know mucus plug can happen at anytime but this is the first time I’m having it. Could labor be coming soon?? Ftm and would love comments and suggestions please!

it means your cervix is softening and dilating. depending on your definition of "soon" its usually a sign labor will start within the next 2 weeks

Ditto Kay. I lost my first piece before my son two weeks ahead of delivery. 
I am also 39+4 and losing pieces all day. 
I would guess delivery is still about a week away. When I lost a huge chunk I knew I had dialated more and I was at 3cm

I lost my first piece at 36 weeks and the rest a couple of days ago. I’m now 40+1 and being induced today as no sign of labour.
