Ok so I guess I am writing this for opinions mostly. So my in laws absolutely spoil my daughter with gifts and a part of me is bothered by it. Now she is spoiled by them all year long so it’s not just a Holiday thing. But anyways, I love that they love her so much and want to buy her things but sometimes it feels like too much.

Also is it normal that in addition to doing stockings on Christmas at home that in laws do it for her too? So we do the Santa thing with our daughter but in our home Santa brings the stocking gifts so how do I explain the stockings at the in laws? And how do I approach the too many gifts thing without offending anyone? They always buy her so many things that are unnecessary and I feel bad for not wanting to keep them or to donate the items because I wouldn’t want to hurt their feelings. I was always raised that parents do the big gifts on Christmas (as long as it was financially feasible), but my in laws do big gifts too.

Ugh I’m sorry that was so long, how would you all handle this? Or would you do anything or say anything at all? I know they mean well and just love to spoil her but she literally gets like 3 Christmas’s and I feel like it’s unnecessary.
