All I want for Christmas is you!!!! 👶🏼👶🏼 My birth story

Let me start off by thanking God. I prayed and prayed that my son would be born healthy and full term and God was good on his promise. I’m in awe of this sweet face and I can’t believe God chose me to be his momma, “I knew you even before you were conceived” Jeremiah 1:4-5. “For you were made in My image” Genesis 1:27. I went into my doctor for a routine NST as they had been monitoring me closely due to PIH (pregnant induced hypertension) and that morning my doctor stated he didn’t like the result and would rather me go in that evening for a repeat c section which was planned to occur 12/26. I was hesitant and nervous because I was exactly 37 weeks and my husband is in the service and I knew there was no way he would make it. Luckily I have an awesome support system and my mom and family all went to to the hospital to be with me. I was so anxious and nervous going into the OR and I couldn’t help but feeling like I needed to cry because my husband was about to miss the birth. The OR is a terrifyingly cold place with bright lights and numerous nurses and techs in standby in case anything happens. As I laid on the operating table I prayed to God one last time to please guide me through this and if something were to happen to please take care of my children and to give my husband strength. Those few minutes felt like hours and after some intense tugging and pulling I heard the most wonderful cry. I immediately cried and thanked God once again. Jackson Delgado was born at 9:08pm December 18, 2017 “I determined the exact time of your birth” Acts 17:26. I briefly saw him and then I passed out due to lack of oxygen. When I woke up my beautiful mom was carrying him and our family was waiting for me in my room. I was told he had low blood sugar but was otherwise healthy. Praise God! There are several women that are currently struggling to become mothers so I never took this beautiful gift for granted. I’m beyond thankful and thrilled that I get to be a mommy again. I never knew I could love this much and I’m glad we as women have the capacity to overcome all obstacles and pull through. Thank you for reading and I wish all you January mommas luck!!!!
