Getting on birth control

I’m 16 and I’m not on ANY form of birth control. I️ guess I’m technically sexually active I’ve just never had a penis in my vagina if ya know what I️ mean. ANYWAYS my mom passed away so all I️ have is my dad and I️ don’t know how to talk to him about it without him freaking out thinking I’m having sex. Any ideas??
