Well which is it? READ

Question

If your baby sleeps through the night, do you still wake them up for diaper changes? Or do you use overnight diapers? Starting at what age? Or are you a diaper ninja and your baby can sleep thru the change?      I have seen this argument over and over and I want to put it to rest! Lol, if it's not controversial enough I'll be happy to move it, but the blood baths I've seen over this are intense. 😂

I only change at night if there's poop.  Otherwise no way will I wake them.

I can ninja a diaper on without waking him. But we use overnight because he pees a lot and hates being wet. Some nights he sleeps through with one diaper and some nights he flops on his back and grunts until you change him, then he goes back to his side to sleep.

I don't remember how old my baby was when we stopped changing her in the middle of the night (she's almost 5 months now). I obviously change her if she's pooped, but after a certain age she stopped peeing as much at night and I didn't see the need to wake her for a change anymore unless she's pooped. So overnight diapers it is, for us.

The first couple months I would change her more frequently . Now 10-12 hours at night and no poop no change. It depends on the baby though. If she had a really bad diaper rash all the time I would probably try and change her once. Usually after a few months ( I started around four) she was fine all night no diaper change .

Now that we got him circumcised, he’ll sleep through a diaper change. Prior to his circumcision, he would be in a lot of pain (there was an abnormal tear in his foreskin) and there’s no way he’d sleep through that, but I had to change him. Now I change him at night and he sleeps through it.

My son never sleeps through the night and he is 11 months old. I usually just change him once during the night when he wakes up to nurse. When he was a newborn, we changed him everytime we fed him.

My baby wakes if he goes pee so I changed him even in over night diapers. He hates being wet.  If he is sleeping and don’t not wake for a pee than I don’t wake to change him.

Mine sleeps through the night for the most part...I haven’t found a diaper that will contain the beast so I wake her up for a change almost like clockwork at 5am and she goes right back to sleep. I am blessed

My son is a stomach sleeper and he pees a lot at night so a lot of times I have to check his diaper before I go to bed and if he’s wet enough, I’ll change him. If I don’t and he’s wet like that, he will leak all over his bed and it doesn’t matter what type of diaper he uses. He usually sleeps through the change though
