Anyone else dilating?

Went to dr yesterday. I’m starting to go weekly. Having issues with blood pressure either high or low. Lots of Braxton and hicks. My daughter was 35 weeks my son was 36 weeks. Dr did an exam and said I was 1cm. I know she said it can be common when you have other children but with my second I didn’t start to dilate at all until about a week or less before he came at only a fingertip. I’m 33 wks 5 days now. Dr said she hopes I can make it at least another 4 weeks. I’m trying to wrap my head around all of this. Anyone else starting to dilate? Or what’s your experience?

I’m not dilating yet, but I did a self check the other night and my cervix is very low already! My cervix was super high the entire time last pregnancy (literally until I was like 4cm). So I’m interested to see how this pans out. I have Placenta previa so I can’t really risk dilating so I’m going to mention it to my midwife at my appointment on the 27th and see what she says. Hopefully you make it all the way to the “safe zone”

33 w and 3 days, I went in because of LOTS of braxton hicks. Up to 10 in a hour. This is my third pregnancy and I was 1 cm dilated. First was born at 39 w 3 days, second was born on his due date. Before she checked me she warned me I would probably be 1cm because of my multiple pregnancies and it was very normal. Good luck on the rest of your pregnancy!

She is going to start checking me at my next appointment on the second. But my first pregnancy at this point I was already at a 1 and was still at a 1 at 36 weeks when my water broke and I went into labor. I would try not to worry too much you can be at a one for a long time.
