I can sympathize...but don't know

Anyone else feel weird reading all these posts about how horrible and painful periods are, and you're just like "wow, I feel so sorry for you but can't relate at all"? 😕😟🤔

Like when my mom, sisters, and aunts all get together and talk in the kitchen during the holidays, the conversation always ends up being about "female issues" and I just hang around awkwardly for a few minutes before going to watch sports or play videogames with the men. I know there have to be other women out there who have really easy periods with no pain, no cramps, minor bloating, no mood swings or food cravings...but haven't ever met any IRL besides me. Ever since I was 10, my period has just been "oh well, looks like I'll be bleeding for the next 4 days". I see comments about how it is like you're being constantly stabbed or your entire pelvis is throwing a tantrum and I'm over here simultaneously relieved my body doesn't hate me during Aunt Flo's visit and guilty like I should hand in my Woman Card. Honestly, not having anything like this to relate to kinda makes me feel like a man more than a woman sometimes.

All my support to women who have to deal with bad periods, though! 🍫☕🍦♥️
