How long is breast milk good for after you take it out of the refrigerator?

I know it can be left out for 5 hours after you pump but what about when it’s been in the fridge?

The poster is asking about when you take it out of the fridge...not how long it’s good in the fridge. 
You should use the milk right away after taking it out of the fridge. Don’t take it out ahead of time and leave it on the counter. Lactation consultants have told me that it should be used immediately or within an hour after taking it out of the fridge. There’s no way to regulate when it will spoil sitting out of the fridge so don’t take any chances. 
Freshly pumped milk can sit at room temp for hours because it still has antibacterial properties. Once it goes into the fridge or freezer, it loses those antibacterial properties so it can’t sit out for hours anymore. Use it right away 😊

There's a few break downs.. 
-5hours freshly pumped and not stored as long as it's not hot. 
-5days stored in the fridge
-5months stored in the freezer.
With that's said. Once you take milk out and warm it, it's only good for 1 hour. Now you can put it back in the fridge and re-warm it for another feeding and it's good for 30mins.

I work on a children’s ward and our policy is that we keep it for up to 48hours in the fridge 😊
