What to expect 🙆🏻

Question

How do I know if my water has broke? This is my first pregnancy & i honestly have no idea what to expect & what comes first.. I’m 39 weeks & 3 days today.

ALOT of fluid comes out lol not all the time though. For me I had three small/medium gushes where I thought I just had a lot of discharge and had to change my panty liner three times and then the BIG gush came and I knew for sure.

My water broke at 4 am I had noticed my bed was slightly wet, so I got up and went pee and I knew I had emptied my bladder, but was leaking, like trickling really. Certainly wasn’t a gush like in movies lol

Not everyone has their water break to go into labor. It can be a big gush or a small trickle. You will know when your body goes into labor though. Its just different from braxton hicks.

Mine did break. I was lying in bed at about 5:30am, half asleep, and felt a pop down near my pelvis. I thought it was either my water breaking or a new kind of kick from my baby. I went to the bathroom. Nothing leaked or gushed on my ten pace walk to the toilet. When I stood up after peeing fluid leaked out of me. About 1/2-3/4 of a cup. It stopped when I sat down and resumed when I stood again. I eventually stood in the bathtub for about twenty minutes while the amniotic fluid came out in small gushed. Probably 2-2 1/2 cups in all. I made important calls to my midwife and parents at that time. My contractions started immediately and my daughter was born four and a half hours later. I was 40 +3 weeks at the time.

My water was broken at the hospital. It’s a large hush of fluid. Mind kept gushing in spurts afterwards. You will feel it come out.
