🔴spotting🔴

I have never ever soptted before and i have had my period quite a few tines now (5 or 6) I went to the toilet and discovered that i had begun my period😵 then i noticed i also begun spotting but i dont know anything about spotting and i am ttying to avoud the awkward mother-daughter period chats !!! can anyone help explain this !!
